Severe diseases

Severe diseases, such as central nervous system disorders, allergy/respiratory diseases, and immune and inflammatory disorders that UCB is addressing are extraordinarily complex. Many of them, for example, affect several parts of the body, producing a number of socially and physically debilitating symptoms.

To deal more effectively with these problems, a more thorough and integrated approach is required that treats the entire body. This cannot be done by a single company or a single science. The interconnections in the human body are too complex.
