In this presentation, one of our esteemed Wellness Champions will discuss Healing the Health Disparity Barrier: Improving Diversity and Addressing Social Determinants of Health in immunology.
As part of this program, we will review social determinants of health to raise awareness of factors that can negatively impact health equity, care, and outcomes.
We will highlight barriers that affect patients and physicians of color, female physicians, and LGBTQIA+ patients to support the recognition of disparities in care in immunology.
We will explore real-world examples and best practices to address social determinants of health to help improve the care and outcomes of patients.
